PetroSaudi was founded in 2005 by Tarek Essam Ahmad Obaid and private investors.
The company has brought together a core team of highly regarded and experienced leaders from the international oil and gas industry, alternative energy, mining, infrastructure, building materials and general industrial sectors covering a very wide range of geographies and business cultures.
PetroSaudi understands the importance of integrating highly seasoned and senior employees suited to meet our company’s strategic objectives and to address the numerous challenges of the upstream oil and gas sector in the 21st century.

Tarek Obaid, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of PetroSaudi is responsible for the Group’s overall management, strategy and high-level political relationships. Tarek Obaid is an experienced business leader, who has been both a founder and investor in a variety of businesses in the financial services, technology, and real estate industries. He is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
